What is it going to be ?

Imagine If for few days you could chuck your mundane job of 9 to 6 , leave behind all the ass-licking, the back-stabbing and the politics of your work; and could abandon your 8X8 cubicle, the gossip and bitching that you do; and just run away to chase your most bizarre, the insane dreams. What would be the one dream you would want to be become reality.

Is it going to be the life of a rock-star, who plays in a band and has cross-country gigs; whose name would go down in history for starting a new music genre, performs half-naked on the stage, screaming his lungs out, throwing and smashing his guitar all over the place, and jumping in to his fans who worship him like an immortal; the one who (read Jimi Hendrix) would one day choke on his own vomit and join 27 club.

Is it going to be some celebrity who has inherited the business of hotels from her dad, who has fame not because of her (read Paris Hilton) talent but for her controversies, who appears in various dumb reality-shows, who is chased by paparazzi and whose each move is closely scrutinised, the one who launches her own brand of clothing and a line of perfumes.

Is it going to be a traveller, who goes back-packing across Europe, doing random jobs, taking lifts from unknown strangers, making friends across the route; whose next destination is always undecided, just to experience the grandeur of nature and fleeting moments of surreal.

Is it going to be cyclist who wins marathons, tests the human limits and triumphs over them, burns ten times the calories than an average joe, the one who (read Lance Armstrong) is known for strength and endurance.

Is it going a writer who (read Stieg Larsson) works in solitude for years, dies a mysterious death and gets posthumous success for his best-selling trilogy.

Is it going to be adrenaline junkie, who base-jumps off the cliffs, does back-flips on his bike, just for the rush and fun of it, always live life on the edge, the one who could be dead next moment.

Is it going wall-street broker, who trades in an Open Out-cry system shouting out bids and offers; and using hand gestures in his trading pit to get his stop-losses in place amongst thousand of other traders on the same floor, the one who is always anxious about whether Greece will get bail-out or not.

The list is pretty exhaustive and you may think I have delusions of grandeur but think What If?

BIG QUESTION

Is it really necessary to have a GIRL FRIEND? Well, having one has certainly got its own charms. Walking under the moon-light hands-in-hands, watching movies cuddled in corner seats ,the goose-bumps you get on slight touch of hers, those intimate moments are simple out of this world. Certainly being in a relation-ship gives you a high , you feel like flyin , like you feet are above the ground. You feel a strange confidence you have never felt before. But every rose has its thorns

FLIP SIDE : The shopping part is worst , when you have to give fake compliments while you are thinking about IPL match you will missing due to it. The Unanswerable Questions like : Am i puttin on weight? , still give me the creeps. You have to beat Chankya in diplomacy to handle such questions. You are always on your feet for the fear of saying something that is not politically correct and pissing her off. And if we do make some mistake (which we always do), then you face the agony of convincing her in late hours on phone. Then you think is it really worth it ??

PERSONAL OPINION : Yes, we can live without a gal-friend. Yes, the world will not fall apart. Yes we can! Infact hanging out with friends , bullying each other, making nasty comments on the clothes they are wearing , fighting on who pays the bills , Hoping from club to club . Aah!!! those sleep less night, playing cards till the dawn. And staying on the couch all day long . Well what can i say there is nothing like being a FREE BIRD!!
